While plot details for the movie are being kept under wraps, we do know that it will focus on a group of immortal beings who have been living on Earth for centuries.

Given Marvel’s track record, it’s safe to assume that Eternals will feature at least one post-credits scene. But how many post-credit scenes will there be?

Here’s everything we know about the post-credit scenes in Eternals.

What We Know About Eternals So Far

Eternals is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics race of the same name. Directed by Chloé Zhao and written by Kaz and Ryan Firpo, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, Don Lee, and Kit Harington. The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on November 5, 2021, by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. So far, not much is known about the plot of the film, but it is believed to focus on the love story between Ikaris and Sersi.

The Cast

We know that Eternals will star Gemma Chan as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, Don Lee as Gilgamesh and Barry Keoghan as Druig.

The cast also includes Angelina Jolie as Thena, Kit Harington as Dane Whitman/Black Knight, Lia McHugh as Sprite and Should Eternals Be MCU Phase 4’s First Movie?

The Plot

Not much is known about the plot of Eternals just yet, but it is believed that the film will center around the love story between Ikaris and Sersi. The two have been together for centuries, but their relationship will be put to the test as they attempt to save humanity from destruction.

Eternals will also see the return of Thanos, who was last seen in Avengers: Endgame. It is unclear what role he will play in the film, but it is possible that he will be the main antagonist.

The film will also introduce a new race of beings called the Deviants. Not much is known about them just yet, but they are believed to be the counterparts of the Eternals.

Eternals is currently set to hit theaters on November 5, 2020.

Post-Credit Scenes

Post-credit scenes are a staple in Marvel movies. They are scenes that are shot after the movie has wrapped up and are used as a way to tease the next movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Eternals will have at least two post-credit scenes, one of which will set up the next movie in the MCU.

Post-Credit Scene #1

The first post-credit scene is of the Eternals gathered around a table eating and drinking. They are laughing and joking with each other. Ikaris tells the group that they have been together for over a thousand years and asks if they have any stories to share. The group then proceeds to take turns telling stories about their time together. After a few stories, Sersi tells the group that they should go to sleep as they have a big day tomorrow. The scene ends with the Eternals going to their respective beds.

Post-Credit Scene #2

We stay in space for the second post-credit scene. The camera pans down from outer space to show a huge spaceship. Inside the ship, we see Thanos (Josh Brolin) sitting in a chair with his eyes closed. His face is battered and bruised, and he has a large cut on his forehead. He slowly opens his eyes and looks around the ship. He then stands up and walks to a window, where he looks out at the stars. The camera zooms in on his face as the screen fades to black.

Post-Credit Scene #3

The third post-credit scene of Eternals shows the arrival of Thanos to Earth. He is confronted by the Eternals, who tell him that he is not welcome on their planet. Thanos says that he is there to find his daughter, Gamora, but the Eternals tell him that she is not on Earth. Thanos then attacks the Eternals, but is eventually defeated by them.

Conclusion

It’s still unclear how many post-credit scenes Eternals will have. Marvel Studios hasn’t released any official information about the film’s post-credits scene, and the cast and crew have been tight-lipped about the movie’s details. However, considering that Eternals is one of Marvel Studios’ most highly anticipated films, it’s likely that the studio will include at least one post-credits scene in the film.
