How Many End Credit Scenes Are There in Venom?

Venom is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and Tencent Pictures. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Jeff Pinkner, Scott Rosenberg, and Kelly Marcel, and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom. In Venom, Brock gains powers after being bonded with an alien symbiote.

The First End Credit Scene

The first end credit scene in Venom shows Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) visiting a local convenience store. He’s looking for food, but he’s also looking for something else: a newspaper. Eddie is on the hunt for more stories about people who have been “infected” by the symbiote, and he’s hoping to find more leads in the paper.

He doesn’t find what he’s looking for at the convenience store, but he does run into a man who’s been possessed by the symbiote. The man is ranting and raving, and he quickly turns violent. Eddie is able to subdue him with help from the store clerk, and he manages to get away unscathed.

The Second End Credit Scene

In the second end-credits scene, we see Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) in a jail cell. He is sitting on the floor with his back against the wall and looks to be in a daze. Suddenly, he hears the sound of someone approaching his cell. He looks up to see who it is, and we see that it is none other than Venom himself! Venom tells Eddie that he is hungry and wants to eat somebody. Eddie asks Venom if he can eat somebody without killing them, to which Venom replies that he can’t promise anything.

Eddie then asks Venom if he can have a bite, and Venom obliges. We see Eddie take a bite out of Venom’s arm, after which he spits it out and says that it tastes like chicken. Venom tells Eddie that he should try the legs next time, and then we see Venom dissolve back into the shadows.

The Third End Credit Scene

The third end credit scene is a bit of a oddity. It technically doesn’t happen during the credits, but it’s placement at the very end of the film lets you know that it’s meant to be seen after the credits have rolled.

The scene in question is a brief moment between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Venom, where the latter tells the former that he’s considering leaving Earth behind and going exploring. It’s a strange moment, and it’s unclear what exactly it’s meant to add to the film.
