How to Add a Credit Card to PayPal

How to add a credit card to your PayPal account so that you can make online payments.

Log in to your PayPal account.

If you’re using a mobile device, you may need to first check in with your Touch or Face ID.

Click the Settings icon next to “Log out.”
Click the Financial Information option in the menu.
Click Link a card or bank account.
Click Link a credit or debit card.
Enter your information and click Continue.

Click the “Settings” icon.

Click the “Settings” icon. It’s a gear-shaped icon in the upper-right corner of the window. Doing so opens a new window.

Click + next to “Credit cards.” This option is in the “Payment methods” section on the left side of the window.

Enter your credit card information. Fill out the following fields:
-Card number: ____________
-Expiration Date: _____ / _____
-Billing Address: Enter your credit card’s billing address, then click Set as default next to that address if you want to make it your primary billing address.
-Card Security Code: ____________

Click Link card. It’s a green button at the bottom of the page.

Click “Payment methods.”

If you’re using a web browser, log in to your PayPal account and click the “Settings” icon at the top of the page. Click “Payment methods” on the menu that appears.

On the next page, click “Add a card.”

Enter your card information and click “Save.”

Click “Add a card.”

If you’re using the latest version of the PayPal app, here’s how to add your credit or debit card:

1. Tap More.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Payments.
4. Tap Cards and bank accounts.
5. Tap Link a card or bank account.
6. Enter your card information, then tap Save.

If you’re using an older version of the PayPal app, here’s how to add your credit or debit card:

1.Tap Settings (Android) or the gear icon (iOS).
2.Tap Payment methods > Link a card or bank account > Link a credit or debit card. 3. Enter your card information, then tap Save > Done (iOS). 4When you’re finished adding your card, tap the back arrow in the top left corner to return to the main screen

Enter your card information.

If you’re using a credit or debit card, you’ll need to enter the card number, expiration date, and security code. If you’re using a PayPal Credit product, you won’t be asked for your card security code.

For credit and debit cards, the card number is a 16-digit number on the front of the card. For American Express cards, it’s a 15-digit number on the front of the card.

The security code is usually a 3- or 4-digit number that’s printed on your card. On Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards, it appears on the back of your card in the signature area. For American Express cards, it appears on the front of your card above the embossed account number.

Click “Save.”

Once you have entered all the necessary information, click “Save.” Your credit card will now be linked to your PayPal account and you will be able to use it for all your PayPal transactions.
