How to Activate Your Bank of America Credit Card

Have you recently applied for a Bank of America credit card? Here’s a guide on how to activate your new credit card so you can start using it.

Go to the Bank of America credit card activation website.

To activate your Bank of America credit card, go to the credit card activation website and enter your credit card number, expiration date and three-digit security code. You will also need to create a personal identification number (PIN) for your credit card. After you have entered all of the required information, click the “Submit” button to activate your credit card.

Enter your credit card number.

To activate your Bank of America credit card, you will need to enter your credit card number. You will also need to provide your social security number, date of birth, and other personal information. Once you have provided all of the required information, you will be able to activate your credit card and start using it right away.

Enter the last four digits of your Social Security number.

After you’re approved for a Bank of America credit card, you’ll receive your card in the mail. To activate it and begin using it, you have a few options.

You can activate your card online, by phone or through the mail. To activate your card online, you’ll need to create an online banking account. Once you’re logged in, go to the “Customer Service” tab and select “Activate Credit Card.” Then, enter your credit card number, expiration date and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

If you’d prefer to activate your card by phone, you can call the customer service number on the back of your card and follow the automated prompts. For activation by mail, simply write “Activate” on the signature strip on the back of your credit card and return it in the envelope provided with your credit card statement.

Enter your date of birth.

To activate your new Bank of America credit card, you’ll need to provide your date of birth. You can do this online, over the phone, or in person at a Bank of America branch. Once you have your date of birth handy, simply follow the instructions below to activate your new credit card.

Online:
1. Visit the Bank of America credit card activation website.
2. Enter your 16-digit credit card number and date of birth in the appropriate fields.
3. Click the “Submit” button.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your credit card activation.

Over the Phone:
1. Call the Bank of America credit card activation phone number: 1-866-695-6565 (TDD/TTY: 1-800-229-0158).
2. When prompted, enter your 16-digit credit card number and date of birth.
3. Follow the instructions from the automated system to complete your credit card activation.

In Person:
1. Visit a Bank of America branch near you and present your new credit card to a banker.
2. Tell the banker that you’d like to activate your new credit card account.
3a. If you already have a Bank of America checking or savings account, they will be able to look up your information and activate your new credit card on the spot.

Enter your mailing address.

You can activate your Bank of America credit card online, by phone, or by mail.

To activate your credit card online, you will need to create an online banking account. Once you have logged in, go to the “Customer Service” tab and select “Activate Credit Card.”

If you would prefer to activate your credit card by phone, you can call the customer service number on the back of your card and follow the instructions given by the automated system.

If you activated your credit card by mail, you will receive a notice in the mail with instructions on how to activate your credit card. Simply follow the instructions and enter the activation code when prompted.

Enter your email address.

To activate your Bank of America credit card, you’ll need to enter your credit card number, expiration date, and the 3-digit security code on the back of the card. You’ll also need to provide your email address so that you can receive updates about your account. After you’ve entered all of the required information, click the “Submit” button to complete the activation process.

Enter your phone number.

If you’re a new credit cardholder, you’ll need to activate your card before you can use it. To do so, you can either call the phone number on the sticker on the front of your card or go online to activate your card.

When you call to activate your card, you’ll need to provide your name, address, date of birth, Social Security number and other personal information. You may also be asked to create a PIN for your credit card. Once your information is verified, your card will be activated and you can start using it right away.

If you go online to activate your card, you’ll need to provide your credit card number, expiration date and security code. You may also be asked to create a user ID and password for future online access to your account. Once your information is verified, your card will be activated and you can start using it right away.

Create a username and password.

To create a username and password, go to the Bank of America credit card activation page and enter your credit card number. You will then be prompted to create a username and password. Make sure to choose a password that you will remember, as you will need it whenever you log in to your account.

Click the “Submit” button.

If you just got a new Bank of America credit card, congrats! You’re now the proud owner of a piece of plastic that can help you make purchases, build credit and earn rewards. But before you can start using your card, you need to activate it. Here’s how:

First, find your credit card number, expiration date and security code. These are located on the front of your card.

Next, go to the Bank of America credit card activation page.

Enter your credit card information into the required fields and click “Submit.” That’s it! Your credit card is now activated and you can start using it.
