How Many Post-Credit Scenes Are in Doctor Strange?
Doctor Strange has two post-credit scenes, one at the very end of the credits and one midway through the credits. The first scene shows Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) meeting with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) to discuss the Infinity Stones. The second scene shows Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) taking away Pangborn’s (Benjamin Bratt) power.
The First Post-Credit Scene
The first post-credit scene in Doctor Strange is a mid-credits scene that features Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) visiting Jonathan Pangborn (Benjamin Bratt), the paraplegic man who was able to walk again thanks to the Ancient One’s training. Mordo tells Pangborn that he’s going to take away the mystical energy that was used to heal him, because there are “too many sorcerers” in the world.
The Second Post-Credit Scene
The second post-credit scene is a bit more mysterious, and could be a setup for future movies. We see Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) sitting in a Meditation Garden, where he says that he’s been traveling the world and learning that there are too many sorcerers. He specifically singles out Stephen Strange, saying that he’s going to “cut off the rot” by taking away all the magic from every sorcerer except for one – Wong (Benedict Wong).
The Third Post-Credit Scene
The third post-credit scene in Doctor Strange features the Sorcerer Supreme (Benedict Cumberbatch) meeting with Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Strange offers to help Thor with his search for his missing father Odin (Anthony Hopkins), and Thor says he may take Strange up on his offer next time he’s in New York. This scene is a set-up for the events of Thor: Ragnarok, which is set to be released in November 2017.
