How Many End Credit Scenes are in Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has two end credit scenes. The first one features Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes waking up in therapy, and the second one sees Sam Wilson (Falcon) and Bucky teaming up with Sharon Carter to take on a new threat.

What Happens in the End Credit Scenes?

We’re not going to spoil anything here, but suffice it to say that the end credit scenes are definitely worth staying for. The first one in particular sets up a lot for the future of the MCU, and teases some very exciting possibilities for Phase 4 and beyond.

What Do the End Credit Scenes Mean for the Future of the MCU?

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has two post-credits scenes, and both of them are essential viewing for anyone interested in the future of the MCU. The first scene introduces us to a new character, while the second sets up a major plot point for an upcoming film.

The first post-credits scene takes place in a dark, abandoned industrial facility. Two shadowy figures are being chased by armed men, and they take refuge in a room full of computer equipment. One of the figures is revealed to be Zemo (played by Daniel Brühl), the villain from Captain America: Civil War. The other figure is revealed to be a mystery woman, who we later learn is named Sharon Carter (played by Emily VanCamp).

The second post-credits scene takes place at an unspecified location, where we see Bucky Barnes (played by Sebastian Stan) meeting with someone called the “Contact.” The Contact tells Bucky that he needs to find someone called the “Flag Smasher,” who is apparently responsible for a series of bombings around the world. The Contact also tells Bucky that he needs to do this alone, without any help from Captain America or the Avengers.

So what do these end credit scenes mean for the future of the MCU? Well, it’s pretty clear that Zemo and Sharon Carter are going to be major players in upcoming films (and presumably TV shows). It’s also pretty clear that Bucky Barnes is going to have a major role to play in an upcoming film (most likely Captain America: Civil War 2). In other words, these end credit scenes are essential viewing for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date on the future of the MCU.
