How to Find Your SBA PPP Loan Number

If you’re a small business owner who has applied for an SBA PPP loan, you’re probably wondering how to find your loan number. Here’s a quick guide to help you locate your loan number and get the information you need.

Go to the SBA website

The first place you should look for your SBA PPP loan number is on the SBA website. If you received a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program, you should have received an email from the SBA with your loan number. If you can’t find that email, you can try logging in to the SBA website with the email address and password you used to apply for the loan. On the website, select “Get Loan Number” from the drop-down menu.

If you can’t find your loan number on the SBA website, you can call the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 1-800-675-5799.

Click on the “Forgiveness” tab

If you’re trying to find your SBA PPP loan number, the first place you should look is on your most recent loan forgiveness application. If you have not yet submitted a loan forgiveness application, you can find your loan number on your promissory note or other loan documentation.

If you can’t find your loan number in any of these places, you can contact your lender directly. They should be able to give you the information you need.

Scroll down to the “Loan Look-up” tool

The Loan Look-up tool will provide information on PPP loans approved on or after May 7, 2020. This is the date that the Paycheck Protection Program resumed after being reopened following the implementation of changes made by the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act of 2020.

To look up your loan information:

-Enter your name in the “Name” field.
-Enter your business type in the “Business Type” drop-down menu.
-Select your state from the “State” drop-down menu.
-Enter your loan number in the “Loan Number” field.
You must enter a valid loan number. If you do not know your loan number, please contact your lender.

Enter your business name, state, and zip code

If you’re not already on the SBA’s Homepage, select “SBA.gov” from the top right-hand corner of this webpage. Doing so will take you to https://www.sba.gov/.

Then, enter your business name, state, and zip code in the blue “Find Local Assistance” bar on the left side of the screen and select “Search.” A list of resources will populate below the search bar. Find “Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)” in this list and select it. This will take you to a map of SBDCs in your state.

Click on the closest city to you in order to be taken to that SBDC’s website, where you will find contact information for your local representative.

Your loan number will be displayed

If you received an email from the SBA indicating that your loan had been approved, your loan number will be displayed in that email. You can also find your loan number by logging into the E-Tran Servicing site at https://www.sba.gov/paycheckprotection/find.

If you applied for your loan through a lender, you should have received a notice from the lender with your loan number. You can also check with your lender to get your loan number.
