What do the post-credit scenes in Venom: Let There Be Carnage mean?
There are four post-credit scenes in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which tease the future of the Venom franchise.
The first scene shows Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) visiting a comatose Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), who is hooked up to a machine that is keeping him alive. Eddie tells Drake that he’s going to make sure he never wakes up, before unplugging his life support and walking away.
The second scene sees Eddie returning home, where he is greeted by his symbiote partner, Venom. The two share a tender moment before Venom asks if they can go eat people now, to which Eddie readily agrees.
The third scene takes place some time later, as we see Woody Harrelson’s Cletus Kasady in prison. Kasady tells his cellmate that when he gets out, he’s going to kill everyone on Earth, before revealing a hidden carving of a spider on his hand.
Finally, the fourth and final scene shows Eddie and Venom attending therapy sessions together. Their therapist asks Venom if he’s been feeding on people again, to which he sheepishly admits that he has. The therapist then asks if Venom was able to stick to his diet of only eating “bad” people this time, and Venom proudly says that he did.
