You can loan a Kindle book to a friend for a period of 14 days. After the 14 days, the book will automatically be returned to your Amazon account and your friend will no longer have access to it.

How to Loan a Kindle Book to a Friend
You can loan a Kindle book to a friend by following a few simple steps. First, you’ll need to log into your Amazon account. Once you’re logged in, you’ll need to go to the “Manage Your Content and Devices” page. From there, you’ll want to find the book that you want to loan and select the “Actions” drop-down menu. From the “Actions” drop-down menu, you’ll need to select “Loan this book.”
Go to Amazon.com and sign in
Go to Amazon.com and sign in to your account. Click on the “Your Account” link at the top of the page, then click on “Manage Your Kindle.” Find the book you want to loan under the “Your Orders” section on the left side of the screen, then click on the button labeled “Actions.” A drop-down menu will appear; click on “Loan this title.”
Select “Manage Your Content and Devices”
On Amazon, select “Manage Your Content and Devices” under “Your Account.”
If prompted, sign in with your Amazon account information.
Select the “Content” tab.
Select the book you’d like to loan, then select Loan this title on the right side of the page.
Enter the recipient’s name and email address, then select Send.
The recipient will have 14 days to accept the loan, at which point they’ll have access to the book for 21 days.
Once you’ve located the book you’d like to loan, select the “Actions” drop-down menu next to the book. This will open a menu of options.
If you see “Loan this Title” as one of the options, that means the book is eligible for lending. If you don’t see that option, loanable Kindle books will have a green lending icon next to them.
Select “Loan this book”
If you’re loaning a Kindle book to a friend, you’ll need to select the “Loan this book” option from your Amazon account. You can find this option by going to the Amazon website, signing into your account, and selecting “Your Content and Devices.”
Once you’ve selected “Your Content and Devices,” you’ll see a list of all of the Kindle books that you currently have on your account. Find the book that you want to loan to your friend, and select the “Actions” drop-down menu next to it. From there, select “Loan this book.”
When you loan a Kindle book to a friend, they’ll have 14 days to read it before it expires. After that, the book will automatically be returned to your Amazon account.
Enter the recipient’s email address and an optional message
Begin by opening the Amazon Kindle app on your iPhone or iPad. Then tap on the book you’d like to loan to see more details about it. On the detail page, tap Loan this book to enter the recipient’s email address and an optional message. The recipient will have 14 days to accept the loan, and once they do, they’ll have access to the book for 60 days. After that, the book will automatically return to your library.
Select “Confirm Loan”
If you’re finished with a Kindle book and want to loan it to a friend, you can do so from Amazon’s website. Loaned books will expire after 14 days, at which point they’ll automatically return to your account. Here’s how to loan a Kindle book to a friend.
1. Go to Amazon’s website and log in with your account information.
2. Hover your mouse over the “Your Account” tab and select “Manage Your Content and Devices.”
3. Select the ” Loans” tab from the menu on the right-hand side of the page.
4. Select the book you’d like to loan and click “Actions.”
5. Click “Loan this title.”
6. Enter the name and email address of the person you’d like to loan your book to, then select “Confirm Loan.”
