How Many Spider-Man Post-Credit Scenes Are There?
Contents
We all know that Spider-Man loves a good post-credits scene, but just how many of them are there? We did a little research and found out that there are a whopping six post-credits scenes in Spider-Man movies!
Checkout this video:
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)
Spider-Man: Homecoming features two post-credits scenes. The first one features Adrian Toomes/Vulture (Michael Keaton) in prison, talking to Mac Gargan (Michael Mando), who is interested in finding out more about Spider-Man. The second scene takes place at Avengers HQ, where Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) are discussing Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) future as Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
Spider-Man: Far From Home features not one, but two post-credits scenes. The first shows Spidey’s alter ego, Peter Parker (Tom Holland), back in his Queens, New York, high school. There, he is called to Principal Morita’s (now played by Spider-Man: Homecoming star Marisa Tomei) office, where he is berated for saving his classmates from the elemental villains Hydro-Man and Molten Man while they were on a European field trip. Parker is then summoned to cosmic being Nick Fury’s (Samuel L. Jackson) location by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau).
The second post-credits scene features J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons), who has started his own conspiracy theory website called “TheDailyBugle.net.” On the site, he reveals Parker’s secret identity to the world and exposes footage of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) that was taken during the battle in London.
Which Post-Credit Scene is Better?
There are a total of four post-credits scenes in the Spider-Man movies. The first two are in Spider-Man 2, and the last two are in Spider-Man 3.
The first post-credits scene in Spider-Man 2 is a brief one where we see Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) talking on a roof. MJ tells Peter that she saw him save a little boy earlier that day, and she tells him that he is her hero.
The second post-credits scene in Spider-Man 2 is a bit longer, and it shows Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) escaping from prison. He is then seen meeting with Harry Osborn (James Franco), who wants revenge against Spider-Man for killing his father.
The first post-credits scene in Spider-Man 3 is a brief one where we see Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) and Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst) talking on a roof. MJ tells Peter that she saw him save a little boy earlier that day, and she tells him that he is her hero.
The second post-credits scene in Spider-Man 3 is a bit longer, and it shows Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) escaping from prison. He is then seen meeting with Harry Osborn (James Franco), who wants revenge against Spider-Man for killing his father.
What do the Post-Credit Scenes Mean for the Future of the MCU?
The post-credit scenes in Spider-Man: Far From Home have left fans with more questions than answers about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The first post-credit scene shows Nick Fury and Maria Hill being confronted by a mysterious figure who is later revealed to be Talos, a Skrull who was first introduced in Captain Marvel. Talos tells Fury and Hill that they need to come with him because there are bigger problems at hand than the Avengers can handle.
The second post-credit scene shows Peter Parker’s classmates Ned and MJ talking about how they will never see each other again since they are going to different colleges. As they are talking, a black liquid starts to seep out of MJ’s neck. This is most likely a reference to the Symbiote that will eventually turn MJ into the supervillain Black Cat.
It is still unclear what the post-credit scenes mean for the future of the MCU, but it seems like things are going to get even more complicated for our heroes.
