How many after credit scenes are in Dr Strange 2?
There are two after credit scenes in Dr Strange 2. The first one features Dr Strange and Baron Mordo discussing the nature of evil and whether it can be destroyed. The second scene shows Thor meeting with the other members of the Avengers to discuss their next move, hinting at the events of Avengers: Infinity War.
What happens in each scene?
The first scene shows Thor and Loki on a alien planet. Thor is trying to find a way back to Asgard and Loki is trying to find a way back to Earth.
The second scene shows the Ancient One in her home in Kamar-Taj. She is looking at a book and says, “It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey.”
The third scene shows Doctor Strange in his Sanctum Sanctorum. He is meditating and says, “We never lose our demons, we only learn to live above them.” The camera then pulls back to reveal that he is sitting on top of the New York City skyline.
What is the significance of each scene?
The significance of the first scene is that it shows Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) snapping pictures of people and then stealing their magical essence to prevent them from ever practicing again. This is a departure from his previous belief that there were too many sorcerers in the world. The second scene shows Wong (Benedict Wong) reading a book titled “Not All Who Wander Are Lost” with the implication being that Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is still alive and will return.
